The 4690 is a seassoned unit that has been in the line-up from Kubota for years. The BH-75 is a newer design that has a great hook-up to the tractor that is superior to any thing else out there for good support. It doesn't loose the ground clearence that the subframe hoes do and yet gives you a four point hook-up and requires no tools to go between three point hitch and the hoe. ....

folbob,
I have a L3400 and purchased a Great Bend 2175 backhoe attachment. It works great and is a self contained unit. It also uses rams to move side to side vs. the Kubota using a geared chain. Great Bend is made by Bush Hog which is a good company. I have had no problems with it. I paid $6000.00 for it brand new and they mounted it for me. It is supposed to be fairly easy to remove. I have not taken it off as of yet.

My dealer just informed me that the BH75 is only for this years L3400 HST. They do not recommend it for my 2004 L3400, they only recommend the woods 7500.
I also would like to know more about what other backhoe attachments would be suitable for my '04 L3400. Any advice on how to locate and purchase is welcome as well.
Thanks ....
